We collect the information you give us (name, email, phone, vehicle and payment details), information created as you use Parkitt (bookings, messages, ratings, device and location data), and limited information from partners such as our payment and identity providers.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to run the marketplace: to create bookings, process payments and payouts, verify hosts, prevent fraud, provide support, and improve the product. We send service messages and, where you allow it, marketing updates.
3. Who we share it with
We share data with the host or driver on a booking as needed to complete it, and with service providers (payments, identity verification, messaging, cloud hosting) under contract. We may share data where required by law or to protect users.
4. Where your data lives
Your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure and may be processed in locations outside Nigeria. Where data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with NDPR and applicable law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for the period required to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights (NDPR & GDPR)
Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer using the details below.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and improve Parkitt. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
8. Children
Parkitt is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Parkitt evolves or the law changes. We will post the updated version here and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
